Agnes Scott College: Mental Fitness Bootcamp

This August, I am in Atlanta to conduct a mental fitness bootcamp. It's great to work with open-minded coaches and innovative approaches based on the conviction of athletetic director Markesha Henderson, Ed.D., a dear friend and former colleague.

Do you like lists?

  Hi there,  finally another post. I've been under the radar, working a various projects  while feeling the need to stay connected through this blog.  We make choices, right? What takes priority at any given moment? And we deal with the unexpected, the unfolding of each day. We also manage our energy, observe our behavior and communication. It's not always easy to be honest with ourselves. For me, it's about learning from my failed actions and communications, accepting myself through it all,  and keeping at keeping at it. If you like lists to spin yourself into a higher vibration, here are some words from my ABC's.  These can be used in a variety of ways:  meditate on them,  use them in conversation,  see your world with these in mind and observe how things look.  Acceptance: willingness to say “yes.” Respecting that it is what it is, and it is not what you think it is. Inspiration aus Interpretation Iyengar erkl ä rt den Baum des Yoga anschaulich und leicht verständlich. Heute bin ich von seiner Darstellung der Zweige des Baumes inspiriert und habe meine Yoga Praxis demnach gerichtet. Hast du in der Ü bung der Stellung (Asana) eher eine Herausforderung des Körpers oder des Geistes? Fühlst du die Stellung in ihren Einzelheiten, oder denkst du darüber nach, was die Stellung bewirkt und ob du diese Wirkung erfährst? Versuchst du, die von jemand anderes beschriebene Erfahrung zu machen, oder forschst du in deinem Körper und Geist danach, welche Erfahrung du machst? Asanas haben zwei Aspekte: sich in die Position bewegen, und in der Position sein. Du nimmst die Position ein, das ist Aktion, Handlung. Dein Körper nimmt eine durch den Namen der Asana beschriebene Haltung ein, z. B. Tadasana. Dann hältst du Tadasana, und kommst in die Reflektion.
